Blue Ocean Gear Expands Team as Pilots Continue

Blue Ocean Gear is excited to announce the addition of two core team members, Peter Macy as Chief Business Officer and Mitesh Gala as Director of Operations, as we move into active testing in 3 distinct markets with a steady pipeline through 2021.  “Peter and Mitesh add invaluable skills and experience to the Blue Ocean Gear team. With their contributions, we can reach additional markets and have a smooth and steady product ramp,” remarked CEO Kortney Opshaug.

Peter Macy is a high-energy leader with over twenty years of experience launching and growing innovative businesses in regulated industries as an executive, investor, and investment banker. Prior to joining Blue Ocean Gear, Peter was the CEO and Co-Founder of Integrity Gaming, a provider of gaming equipment, technology, and related financing. Previously, Peter was a co-founder and partner at Poydras Street Capital, a private capital investment and advisory company focused on early-stage investment opportunities. He began his career as an investment banker, working at JP Morgan, FL Advisors, and Wells Fargo. As a concerned global citizen and lifelong diver, sailor, and naturalist, Peter is committed to the development and implementation of business models that will support the preservation, protection, and repair of our ecosystems.

Mitesh Gala has spent over a decade working in social and environmental organizations that focus on double or triple bottom lines. He has been an entrepreneur, product manager and business developer – primarily focused on developing tools, analysis, processes and relationships to take products to market.  At his last organization, NexLeaf Analytics, Mitesh helped develop and scale the launch of an IoT product for monitoring vaccine health and indoor air pollution. Mitesh is passionate about knowing customers intimately and bringing their stories to the forefront as the organization develops problem-solving solutions.

These great additions to the Blue Ocean Gear team extend our capabilities and support current and future product and market growth. Welcome, Peter and Mitesh!
